Louise Polnasek, age 95, of Clinton Twp., NJ passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Twp., NJ.
She was born on January 16, 1929 in Newark, NJ. She resided in Whitehouse Station, NJ for many years.
She was the daughter of the late Roland and Alice Zablubowski Wenhold.
She was married to Joseph Polnasek, with whom she had two sons, Joseph Michael Polnasek and Robert Allan Polnasek. Joseph and Louise were married for 45 years, until his death in 1999.
Louise attended Catholic school in Irvington, NJ. She worked various jobs over the years, including working in production for Ethicon in Bridgewater, NJ.
One day a man came to her door with the book “The Kingdom is at Hand”. Louise’s mother and Louise studied the book, and after she did some additional research at the local library, Louise and her mother were baptized as Jehovah’s Witnesses in Lake Erie on August 8, 1946. Their first Kingdom Hall was above a large store in Cleveland, OH where they had to trek up three flights of stairs. Later, once she resided in Whitehouse Station, she became a member of the Clinton Congregation and attended meetings at the Kingdom Hall, which was on Main Street at the time. Later she became a member of the Lebanon Congregation, where she was an active member. She enjoyed attending meetings and associating with all, but especially with young ones who attended.
Survivors include one son; Robert Allan Polnasek of Lebanon, NJ.
Predeceased in addition to her husband include her son; Joseph Michael Polnasek. She is also predeceased by one brother; Joseph Zellner.
A memorial talk will take place at a later date.
