Elsa T. Cose

Elsa T. Cose, age 94, of Clinton Township, NJ passed away on Monday, January 6, 2020 at the Eastern Star Home in Bridgewater, NJ.

She was born on May 18, 1925 in Flushing, NY.  She resided in Clinton Township for over 40 years.

She was the daughter of the late Otto and Elsa Blaser Thielhart.

Her husband, Alan Cose, passed away in 2015 after 67 years of marriage.

Elsa worked as a customer service representative for New Jersey Bell for most of her career.  After her retirement, she studied ecclesiastical embroidery which evolved into a second career: operating her own business teaching silk and metal thread embroidery throughout North America and selling embroidery supplies. Following retirement from the embroidery business, she took up weaving.

Elsa was a member of Lebanon Reformed Church in Lebanon, NJ.  She was also active in many church affairs at various churches.  She was a former member of the Embroiders Guild of America and Handweavers of Bucks County, PA.  

In addition to embroidery, sewing, and weaving, Elsa lovedtraveling, crossword puzzles, and the Jersey shore.

Survivors include two daughters: Linda Cose of Branchburg, NJ and Patricia Cose and her partner Jeffrey McDowell of Nanuet, NY; and her brother; Walter Thielhart and his wife Donna of Brooksville, FL.  She is also survived by her grand dog Aidan.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
