Ruth 'Peg' Irene Huddleson

Ruth ‘Peg' Irene Huddleson, age 92, of Palmer Twp., PA passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Old Orchard Manor Care in Easton, PA. She was born on December 11, 1926 in Lebanon, NJ. She spent her childhood in Lebanon, NJ before moving to LebanonTwp., NJ and Ocala, FL where she resided for many years. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Florence Hoffman Dilts. Her husband, Preston Huddleson, passed away in 2009 after 64 years of marriage. For most of her career, she was a Bank Teller at Hunterdon County National Bank in High Bridge, NJ. Peg was a long time member of the Lebanon Twp. Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, where her husband was past Fire Chief. She was a wonderful mother who enjoyed caring for her family. She loved cooking, reading, doing needlework and jigsaw puzzles. Survivors include three daughters; Peggy Buck and her husband Ronald of Easton, PA, Barbara Cecchini and her husband Peter of Stockton, NJ and Nancy Linzer and her husband David of Milford, NJ. Five grandchildren; Carrie Huff-Souto and her husband Eddie, Peter Huff, Sara Cecchini, Michael Cecchini and his wife Alejandra and Alison Fleming. Five great-grandchildren; Jaden, Isaac, Caroline, Grace and Kimberly. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by seven siblings; Marjorie Apgar, Doris Wagner, William Dilts, Harriet Lebitz, Henry Dilts, Pete Dilts and Kenneth Dilts. She is also predeceased by one nephew; Larry Apgar. Calling hour will be Monday, September 9, 2019 from 10am - 11am. Funeral service will follow at 11am. All at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ. Interment will be private.
