Yareev ‘Joey’ Abitbol

Yareev ‘Joey’ Abitbol, age 46, of Lebanon, NJ passed away on Friday, December 20, 2019.

He was born on June 16, 1973 in Haifa, Israel.  He spent his childhood in Brooklyn and has lived in Lebanon, NJ for the past 10 years.

He was the son of Albert and Chelly Silverband Abitbol of Brooklyn, NY.

Joey was the husband of Lori Ellen Szerlip.  The couple has celebrated 14 years of marriage and has been together for 21 years.

He was currently employed as a Finance Manager at Nissan World of Springfield in Springfield, NJ.  He was a very hard worker and loved his job.

Joey loved listening to house music, traveling, going on cruises and going to comedy shows.  He also loved sports - especially the NY Yankees.  Most of all, he adored his family and loved spending time with them.  

Survivors in addition to his loving wife and his parents include one daughter; Jade Abitbol of Lebanon, NJ.   One brother; Shawn Abitbol of Brooklyn, NY.  One sister-in-law; Jill Seres and her husband Paul of Bloomfield, NJ.  One niece; Dylan Seres and one nephew; Riley Seres.  He is also survived by his in-laws; Lenny and Doris Szerlip of Del Ray Beach, FL.  

Friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, December 24, 2019 from 10am-12noon with Funeral Service at 12noon.  All will take place at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ.  Interment at Beth Israel Cemetery, 1098 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge, NJ.
