Achille ‘Archie’ P. Magliochetti

Achille ‘Archie’ P. Magliochetti, age 84, of Clinton Twp., NJ, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Holy Family Manor in Bethlehem, PA. 

Archie was born on June 20, 1941, in Somerville, NJ, to the late Philip and Concetta (Patullo) Magliochetti. He spent his childhood in Bridgewater, NJ, before moving to Clinton Twp., NJ, where he resided for 58 years. 

Archie was the loving husband of the late Lynda (Converse) Magliochetti. Archie and Lynda met on a blind date and were blessed with 57 years of marriage before Lynda’s passing in 2021. 

Archie graduated from Somerville High School in 1959 and went on to earn his bachelor's degree in business from Rutgers University in 1963. He dedicated over 40 years of his career working as a commercial claims manager for Allstate Insurance before retiring in 2007. 

Archie was a devout Catholic. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Annandale, NJ. He was a member of his local government, where he served for over 5 years as a Republican Councilman for Clinton Twp., NJ, starting in 1977. In addition, Archie was the founder of Community Athletics in Lebanon, NJ, which was established in 1978. 

Archie loved traveling with his beloved wife, Lynda. Archie and Lynda loved visiting Italy, having taken 13 trips there together. They enjoyed renting a flat in Florence, where they would stay for month-long trips at a time. Archie loved sports. He was an avid Rutgers football and basketball fan, and he also loved rooting for the New York Yankees. For many years, he devoted his time to coaching his son and daughter in softball, baseball, and basketball. He adored spending time with his grandchildren and loved watching them compete in tennis, volleyball, basketball, ice hockey, and softball. 

Archie is survived by his two children, Lori Magliochetti Renzulli of Bound Brook, NJ, and Philip Magliochetti, and his wife, Melissa, of Pen Argyl, PA. Three grandchildren: Meredith Renzulli of Washington DC; Brenna D’Ambrosio, and her husband, Sebastian, of Aliso Viejo, CA; Cara Magliochetti of Pen Argyl, PA. One great-grandson, Joseph D’Ambrosio. One sister-in-law, Carol Magliochetti of Bridgewater, NJ. 

Archie is predeceased by his beloved grandson, Daniel Patrick Renzulli and his son-in-law, Peter Renzulli.  One brother, Vincent Magliochetti and one nephew, Vincent Magliochetti. 

Funeral mass will take place on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 10am, at Immaculate Conception Church, 316 Old Allerton Rd., Annandale, NJ. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
