Amy Coelln Obituary

Amy Susan Coelln, age 56, of Salem, NJ passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Twp., NJ.

She was born on June 28, 1968, in Seoul, Korea. She spent her childhood in Basking Ridge, NJ after being adopted by an incredibly loving family. She lived most of her life in New Jersey and also resided in Maryland for several years. 

 She faced struggles that might have overwhelmed others, but Amy approached life with a fierce independence and loyalty that was unwavering. Her resilience and determination were incredible. She will be remembered for her ability to find strength even in the toughest times.

Amy enjoyed traveling - she especially loved trips to Sea Isle on the Jersey Shore. She also loved animals and was very involved in animal rescue for many years dedicating much of her life to helping them in any way she could. Her hobbies included music, collecting memorabilia, gardening, and working outdoors.

She was the daughter of the late Richard Coelln and Sandra Kriney Coelln. She leaves behind her family, whom she loved very much and who loved her.

Survivors include her three children; Anthony Mazzocchi of Lebanon, NJ, Alisha Mazzocchi of Lebanon, NJ and James Mazzocchi Jr. of Lebanon, NJ. She is also survived by her ex-husband & best friend; James Mazzocchi Sr. of Lebanon, NJ. Her three siblings; Lawrence Coelln and his wife Janine of Annandale, NJ, Scott Coelln and his wife Kate of Williamsburg, VA and Darcy Coelln Eichman and her husband Greg of Charlotte, NC. As well as several nieces and nephews, Samuel Coelln, Em Coelln, Bailey Eichman Hinshaw, Lindsey Eichman, and Adam Eichman.

Amy will be missed deeply but forever remembered as a testament to strength, perseverance, and the beauty of a life lived on her terms.

A memorial service will be held at a later date to honor Amy’s life and legacy. Arrangements are under the direction of Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home in Lebanon, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Amy’s honor to a local animal shelter, reflecting her lifelong devotion to helping animals in need.
