Ann Victoria Sak, age 90, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Complete Care in Phillipsburg. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Victoria Buzawa Krempasky. Her husband, Edward M. Sak, passed away in 2006 after 55 years of marriage. Ann was born on September 18,1932 on a large dairy farm in Honesdale, PA. She told many stories about life growing up on a farm.
After meeting her husband, Ed, they married within the year. They raised their family in a house he built in Mt Cobb,PA. Ann loved to spend time with her family, seven siblings and their families, her mother, and her many girlfriends. She was known for her kolachi(nut roll), pierogi, and halupki(stuffed cabbage). But also liked playing scrabble and shopping with the girlfriends.
Ann moved to NJ to her daughter’s home in 1990, and then to England with the family for five years. She enjoyed traveling the sites of England, Italy, Paris and Spain. A devout Catholic, she was able to see the Vatican, Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict.
Survivors include three children; Susan Petrilli and her husband Tony of Portsmouth, NH, Michael Sak of Broadheadsville, PA and Steven Sak of Branchburg, NJ. Five grandchildren; Elicia, Lauren, Anthony, Michael and Charlie.
Predeceased in addition to her husband by one son; Edward Sak who passed away in 1998. Seven siblings; Helen, Mary, Martin, Emily, Joseph, Margaret and Andrew.
Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 10am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 316 Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ. Interment will be private.
