Anthony Joseph 'AJ' Zeoli

Anthony Joseph ‘AJ’ Zeoli, age 16, of Union Twp., NJ passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022 at home.

He was born on September 15, 2005 in Allentown, PA.  He resided in Union Twp., NJ for the past 7 years, moving from Sloatsburg, NY.  

He was the beloved son of Anthony M. Zeoli of Suffern, NY and Tarra Janssen-Zeoli of Union Twp., NJ.  

AJ was a student at North Hunterdon Regional High School in Annandale, NJ and was about to enter his Senior year of school.  He will always be remembered for being the Class Clown and making his classmates laugh.  His teachers adored him and over the years always remarked at how polite he was.  

AJ was passionate about many things in life especially nature, hunting, skateboarding, snowboarding, air soft guns and playing video games.   He also loved animals, especially his rabbit and dogs.  AJ also loved food and enjoyed cooking.  He was very adventurous, outgoing and loved hanging out with friends. AJ had very strong value's and stood up for what he believed in . His loyalty was beyond measure. Loved his friends and family fiercely and had their backs at all cost. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his mother, Tarra Janssen-Zeoli and his stepfather Richard Belmonte, of Union Twp., NJ. Father; Anthony M. Zeoli of Suffern, NY.  Step-brother; Alexander Belmonte and step-sister; Sophia Belmonte.  Maternal grandmother; Patti Santoianni of Sloatsburg, NY.  Maternal Grandfather step Grandmother; Timothy and Michelle Janssen of Bangor, PA.  Step-maternal grandfather known as ‘Poppy’; Thomas Lunger Sr. of Bloomsbury, NJ.  Paternal grandmother; Nancy Zeoli of Suffern, NY.  Aunts and Uncles; Valerie Haffa and her husband Eric of Suffern, NY, Christopher Zeoli and his wife Connie of Port St. Lucy, FL, Lori Lunger of Annandale, NJ, Thomas Lunger Jr. of Clinton, NJ, Amanda Grasso and her husband Michael of Warwick, NY and Craig Hahn and his wife Lani of TX.  Numerous cousins including Mason, Molly, Jacob, Tommy and Kevin.  He is also survived by many extended family members and beloved friends including his best friend; Dante Hudson. And girl friend Eliza McGowan. 

Predeceased by his paternal grandfather; Anthony J. Zeoli who passed away in December of 2021 and his Aunt Kelsey Poyer who passed away in 2019.

Calling hours will take place on Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 4-7pm with funeral service at 7pm at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ.  Interment will be private.
