Antonio Danniballe, age 73, of Hillsborough, NJ passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022 at home.
He was born on April 19, 1949 in Rapino, Italy. He immigrated to the United States at age 13 and resided in Queens, NY for many years before moving to Bridgewater, NJ. He resided in Hillsborough, NJ for the past 4 years.
He was the son of Angela Micucci Danniballe of Middle Village, NY and the late Peter Danniballe.
He was a US Navy Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1975.
He was the husband of Rosalia LaCorte Danniballe, celebrating 47 years of marriage.
Until his retirement, Tony worked as a Mechanical Engineer in the sheet metal industry. He worked for various companies including B&H/American Precision in Middlesex, NJ and also Durex in Union, NJ.
Memberships include past member of the American Legion Post #12 and the APA Pool League.
Tony loved soccer and years ago he was a semi-professional soccer player, playing on the MESC soccer team.
Tony was a loving family man, who enjoyed being with his family for big celebrations and Sunday dinners. He adored his grandchildren and loved attending all of their events. He enjoyed making sauce, homemade sausage and wine with his parents and family. Family was everything to him.
Survivors in addition to his loving wife and his mother include two sons; Michael Peter Danniballe and his fiancé Helen Cepeda of East Brunswick, NJ and Anthony Salvatore Danniballe and his wife Tara Scarponi-Danniballe of Stewartsville, NJ. Six grandchildren; Emily Rose Danniballe, Matthew Anthony Danniballe, Gabriella Valentina Danniballe, Lucia Maria Danniballe, Lana Cepeda and Hailey Cepeda. He is also survived by one sister; Phyllis Smolanick and her husband Daniel of Middle Village, NY. Many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by one brother; Giuseppe Danniballe.
Calling hours will take place on Sunday, October 23, 2022 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, October 24, 2022 at 11am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 316 Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ with reception immediately following at the Mountain View Chalet, 154 NJ-173, Asbury, NJ. Interment will take place on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 9am at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA.
