Barbara Ann Hachtmann

Barbara Ann Hachtmann, age 81, longtime resident of High Bridge, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation (Old Orchard) in Easton, PA.

She was born on September 7, 1940 in High Bridge, NJ.  She was a resident of High Bridge until 2001 when she moved in with her son and later to Old Orchard in 2019.

She was the daughter of the late Fletcher and Helen (Cregar) Egerter. 

Her beloved husband, John William Hachtmann, passed away in July of 2021 after 62 years of marriage.    

Barbara worked as a Tax Collector for High Bridge and later worked for Roselle Savings Bank in High Bridge, NJ. 

Memberships include the High Bridge Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

Barbara enjoyed crocheting, cooking and taking care of children. 

Survivors include two sons; Mark S. Hachtmann of Palmer Twp., PA and Jonathan David Hachtmann of Belvidere, NJ.  Two daughters; Robin Hartrum and her husband Albert of Easton, PA and Pamela Hachtmann of Palmer Twp., PA.  Six grandchildren; Justin Hartrum and his wife Sarah, Jeremy Hartrum and his wife Rachel, Jenna Hartrum, Jessica Krecker and her husband Nicholas, Jacob Hachtmann and Morgan Hachtmann.  Seven great-grandchildren; Katie, Mason, Ryan, Brianna, Elijah, Jase and Bria.

Calling hours will take place on Sunday, March 6, 2022 from 2pm – 4pm and 7pm – 9pm.  Funeral Service will be Monday, March 7, 2022 at 11am.  All at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ.  Interment will follow at Belvidere Cemetery, 161 Pequest Road, Belvidere, NJ.
