Barbara J. Taylor

Barbara J. ‘BJ’ Taylor, age 64, of High Bridge, NJ passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021 at home.

She was born on February 3, 1956 in Raritan Twp.  She was a lifelong resident of Hunterdon County, spending most of her life in High Bridge.

She was the daughter of the late Irvin Carl and Barbara Jean Luster Taylor.

BJ was a Rural Letter Carrier for the Flemington Post Office until her retirement in 2011.

She was a life long member of the High Bridge Methodist Church.  

BJ was an enthusiastic crafter and enjoyed decorating eggs.  She was a member of the ‘Egger’ Club as well as ‘Eggs Original’.  Years ago, she also enjoyed hot air ballooning.  

Survivors include one brother; Irvin C. Taylor Jr. and his wife Bonnie of Pittstown, NJ.  Three sisters; Sharon Taylor of PA, Elizabeth Taylor and her partner Elaine Shaner of Lincoln, DE and Frances Zaragoza of PA.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews including Samantha Boyle of High Bridge, NJ and Daniel Mowery of High Bridge, NJ.  

Predeceased by two sisters; Kathleen Joy Taylor and Patricia Ann Taylor.  

Calling hours will take place on Friday, January 29, 2021 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.  Funeral service will be Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 11am.  All at Naughright-Scarponi Funeral Home, 66 Main Street, High Bridge, NJ.  Interment at Mountain View Cemetery in Cokesbury, NJ.
