Barbara Ann Woldin, age 79, of High Bridge, NJ passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Twp., NJ.
She was born on November 11, 1943 in Oneida, NY. She resided in Califon, NJ for 20 years before moving to High Bridge, NJ 33 years ago.
She was the daughter of the late Harmon and Katherine Latham Wade.
Barbara was a graduate of Ohio University with her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. She also graduated from Morris County Community College with a degree in Chemistry.
Her early career was spent as a Journalist for the Courier News in Bridgewater, NJ. After she raised her family, she worked as a Medical Writer for Croda in Edison, NJ. Later she worked as an Independent Freelance Medical Writer until her retirement.
Barbara was an avid bowler and volleyball player. She had an extreme passion for learning about rare diseases.
Survivors include her two daughters; Karen L. Young and her husband Jeffrey of Milford, NJ and Kristen Jennings and her husband Jeffrey of Birmingham, MI. Four grandchildren; Marissa Young, Kimberly Young, Shane Young and Max Jennings. Her longtime significant other; Raymond Schick of High Bridge, NJ. Four siblings; Thomas Wade, Martha O’Boyle and her husband Dennis, Kathy Lafemina and her husband Sal and David Wade. She is also survived by her former husband Robert Woldin of Escondido, CA and her beloved friends; Barbara Schmidt and Joanne Petrosky.
Calling hours will take place on Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 10am to 12:30pm with funeral service at 12:30pm. All at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ. Interment to follow at Lower Valley Cemetery in Califon, NJ.
