Blanche Foster

Blanche Foster, longtime resident of Watchung, NJ then settled into Hampton, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at Warren Haven Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Oxford, NJ. She was born on June 24, 1935, in Newark, New Jersey, to the late Augustus and Blanche (Welch) Foster.

Blanche worked as a School Secretary at Valley View School in Watchung, NJ until her retirement.  She was known for her warm spirit, caring nature, and the kindness she shared with everyone she met.

In her free time, Blanche enjoyed watching classic movies and soap operas. Earlier in life, she also loved sewing, a hobby that brought her great joy and allowed her creativity to shine. She adored country music, dancing and antiquing.

She was an active member of the Wilson Memorial Church in Watchung, NJ for many years where she also sang in the choir.  

Blanche was the beloved mother of David Wall Jr., Diane Keefe (Raymond), Debra McConnell (Peter), Dawn Ripley (Barrett), and Denise Mitterando (Rick). 

She was the cherished grandmother of Joshua Ripley, Emily Jacobs, Jackie DiGiosaffatte, Jonathan McConnell, Jason McConnell, and Nicholas Mitterando. She was also the proud great-grandmother of Jacob, Isabelle, Maximus, Elijah, and Carly. She also is survived by four great-great grandchildren.  

She was predeceased by her daughter, Dale Wall. Blanche was also predeceased by her siblings; Raymond, David and Lillian. She is also predeceased by her sister, Isabelle, who passed away the following day after Blanche’s passing.

All services will be private.  Arrangements by Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home in Lebanon, NJ.  

She will be remembered for her gentle heart, unwavering love for her family, and the many treasured memories she leaves behind. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
