Carla Nowell, age 53, of High Bridge, NJ passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at home.
She was born on October 22, 1966 in New York, NY. She was a lifelong resident of Hunterdon County, NJ.
She was the wife of Curtis H. Nowell, celebrating 23 years of marriage.
Carla was a teacher in the High Bridge School District. Carla dedicated 20 years of her life to the district where she currently was teaching second grade. Carla adored all her students, past and present. Teaching was her passion in life as she cherished her career and thrived on seeing her students flourish.
Carla enjoyed camping in and around Yellowstone National Park, wildlife photography, and trips to Disney World. She loved her Mini Cooper and a cold Diet Coke.
Survivors in addition to her loving husband include her father, James Graham and his wife Gael of Califon, NJ and her mother, Barbara Burgard and her husband Robert of Port Deposit, MD.Three siblings; Nina Drinnan and her husband Scott of Perkasie, PA, Andrew Graham and his wife Dawna of Beaverton, OR and Chris Graham and his wife Sandra of High Bridge, NJ. She is also survived by several beloved nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by one sister; Katie MacDonald.
Due to the current restrictions regarding COVID-19, a celebration of Carla’s life will take place at a later date.
