Catherine ‘Cathy’ Jane Scott

Catherine ‘Cathy’ Jane Scott, age 82, of Readington Twp., NJ passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Twp., NJ. surrounded by her family.

She was born on September 12, 1937 in Elizabeth, NJ.  She resided in Readington Twp., NJ since 2002, moving from Beach Haven, NJ. Prior to moving to Beach Haven Cathy and George raised their family in Succasunna, N.J.

She was the daughter of the late Leon and Irene Heidt Bader.

She was the devoted wife of George W. Scott Jr., celebrating 60 years of marriage.    

Cathy was a homemaker.  She enjoyed caring for her family.

Cathy enjoyed cooking and watching old movies.  She also loved the beach and enjoyed living on Long Beach Island.  In her younger years, her parents were members of the Colonia Country Club where she spent a great deal of time as a child.

Memberships include Immaculate Conception Church in Annandale, NJ.  

Survivors in addition to her husband include three children; Susan Shea and her husband Lawnie of Lebanon, NJ, Jennifer Scott of Readington Twp., NJ and Michael Scott and his wife Stephanie of Long Valley, NJ.  Four grandchildren; Thomas Shea, Alexander Scott, Katherine Shea and Samuel Scott.  She is also survived by two sisters; Joan O’Connor of Metuchen, NJ and her twin sister Carol Keane of Metuchen, NJ.

Calling hours will take place on Monday, February 17, 2020 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ.   Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 10am at Immaculate Conception Church, 316 Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ.  Interment at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Annandale, NJ.
