Charles Schutts Obituary

Charles Edward (Chuck) Schutts, age 86, of Clinton Township, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at home.

He was born in Somerville, New Jersey on November 5, 1935 a son of the late Fred and Lena Mae (Dalrymple) Schutts.

Chuck was a lifelong resident of Clinton before moving to Clinton Township 10 years ago.

He was employed by J. Filiberto Sanitation in Chester, NJ, Jack Ramsey Poultry Farm in Lebanon, NJ, Evergreen Cemetery in Clinton, NJ for fourteen years and was Painter for Mattis Painting in Clinton. Chuck was also responsible for hanging up Christmas Lights in the town of Clinton. 

Chuck enjoyed baseball, especially the Mets.  He also loved going to the Clinton House on a daily basis for two beers and enjoyed the many friendships he made at the Clinton House.

Survivors include two brothers; Fred (Bill) Schutts of Annandale, NJ and James (Herbie) Schutts and his wife Sharon of Lebanon, NJ.  Two sisters; June and Shirley Shepherd of Washington, NJ.  Sister-in-law; Barbara Schutts of ME.  Several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his brother; Carl Schutts and also his sister-in-law Pat Schutts. 

Interment at Evergreen Cemetery in Clinton, NJ on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at noon followed by drinks at the Clinton House.  

Arrangements are under the direction of Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home in Lebanon, NJ.
