Charlotte Ann Povalski

Charlotte Ann Povalski, age 87, of Tewksbury Twp., NJ passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022 at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ.
She was born on February 24, 1934 in Jersey City, NJ.  She was raised in Jersey City then moved to Harding Township before residing in Tewksbury Twp. for the past 50 years.
She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Kathryn Olejarczyk (nee) Korzeniewski.
Her beloved husband, Henry J. Povalski, passed away in 1991 after 35 years of marriage.
After graduating from Fairleigh-Dickinson University in Rutherford, NJ, Charlotte worked as a Chemist at Colgate Palmolive. After raising a family she resumed her career as a Science Teacher for the Bedminster Township School District until her retirement.
Charlotte was a long-time member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in High Bridge, NJ.
She was an excellent cook and extensive traveler.  Poland, Italy and Alaska were among her favorite spots to explore.  She especially loved going on cruises.  Charlotte also loved dogs, especially her favorite beloved Siberian Husky, Natasha.
Survivors include one daughter; Grace Conner and her husband Brian of Tewksbury Twp., NJ.  One son; Raymond Povalski of Tewksbury Twp., NJ.  Son-in-law; David Obszanski of Tewksbury Twp., NJ.  Two grandchildren; Alexandra Obszanski and Nicholas Obszanski.
Predeceased in addition to her husband by her daughter; Carol Elizabeth Povalski who passed away in October of 2021.
Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 11am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 59 Main Street, High Bridge, NJ.  Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Cokesbury, NJ.
Arrangements are under the direction of Naughright-Scarponi Funeral Home in High Bridge, NJ.
