Charlotte Marie VanFossen

Charlotte Marie VanFossen, age 84, of Lebanon Borough, NJ, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ. 

Charlotte was born on November 16, 1941, in Daleville, PA, to the late Elmer and Marjorie (Bortree) Lewis. She was a lifelong resident of Lebanon, NJ. 

Charlotte was the beloved wife of Grant H. VanFossen, with whom she celebrated 62 years of marriage. 

Charlotte graduated from North Hunterdon High School in 1960. She was a homemaker, raising her two children in Lebanon, NJ. 

Charlotte enjoyed gardening and spending time watching birds. She loved spending time with her beloved grandsons, Colby and Toby. She loved visiting her parents’ farm in PA. She also loved rooting for the Mets. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crochet and creating afghans. 

Survivors in addition to her loving husband include her two children; Keith VanFossen of Lebanon, NJ and Tracy Schneider of Kingwood, NJ.  Two grandsons; Colby Schneider and his fiancé Hayley Meigh of Bedminster, NJ and Toby Schneider of Lebanon, NJ. 

A celebration of life will be held in the spring. 

Interment is private.
