Cindy J Hoover

Cindy Jacqueline Hoover, 70, of Califon, NJ, died February 17, 2022 in her home. She was the wife of John C. Hoover, Sr.

Born August 18, 1951 in Somerville, NJ, she was a daughter of Charles Lindy and Laura Helen (Manfra) Burd, both of Princeton, NJ, formerly of Lebanon Township, NJ.

Cindy was a former machinist for Cooperative Industries in Chester, NJ. She also trained seeing-eye dogs in Morristown, NJ and worked at the Califon Basket Factory in Califon.

She was a member of the Califon United Methodist Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher.

In addition to her husband and parents, Cindy is survived by a brother, Steven Burd of Hightstown, NJ and a sister, Christina Burd of Marianna, Florida. Her son, John Christopher Hoover, Jr. died August 20, 2021.

Visitation will be held 10:00 to 11:00 am Wednesday, February 23, 2022 in the Califon U.M. Church, 15 Raritan-River Road, Califon, NJ. Funeral services will begin at 11:00. Masks and social distancing are required in the church. Burial will be in the Lower Valley Union Cemetery, Califon, NJ.
