Daniel Francis Flynn III

Daniel Francis Flynn III, age 76, of Lebanon Twp., NJ passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ.  

He was born on January 16, 1945 in Tonopah, NV.  He spent his childhood in Newark, NJ and resided in Lebanon Twp., NJ for the past 33 years.

He was the son of the late Daniel Francis Flynn Jr. and Elinor Ramsey Flynn.

Daniel was the husband of Brynda Taylor-Flynn, celebrating 39 years of marriage.

He was a US Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam War era.

For most of his career, Daniel worked as an Operating Engineer for Local #825 in Springfield, NJ.  Upon his retirement in 1993, he worked as a Real Estate Agent for Weichert Realtors in Whitehouse and Clinton until 2003.  

Memberships include St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in High Bridge, NJ.

Daniel enjoyed woodworking, working on his tractor, and tinkering on many projects.  He also loved animals, politics, and discussing current events. Years ago, he enjoyed doing Karate with his family.  Most of all, Daniel loved his family and he enjoyed spending time with them.

Survivors in addition to his loving wife include one daughter, Caitlin Holland and her husband Sean of Dumont, NJ; one son, Daniel Francis Flynn IV and his wife Marguerite of Nairobi, Kenya; two grandchildren, Leila and Seanie; ten siblings, Timothy Flynn, Patricia Meyer, Barry Flynn, Kathleen Flynn, Michael Flynn, Nora Flynn, Brian Flynn, Hugh Flynn, Sean Flynn, and Matthew Flynn. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many beloved friends including his loyal Bouvier des Flandres Finnegan. 

All services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages those who wish to express their sympathies to make a donation in Dan’s name to a charity of their choice.
