Dante Faraone Jr.

Dante Faraone Jr., age 69, of Annandale, NJ passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Twp., NJ.

He was born on July 15, 1953 in Newark, NJ.  He spent his childhood in Newark and Edison.  He resided in Annandale for the past 16 years, moving from High Bridge, NJ.

He was the son of the late Dante Faraone Sr. and Josephine Fiorello Faraone.

Dante was the husband of Linda Marie Petner Faraone, celebrating 20 years of marriage. 

He worked as an Operator for the Hunterdon County Road Department until his retirement.  He was an extremely talented handy man.  He could build anything and enjoyed doing tile work. 

Dante was the founder and drummer for his band, ‘The Jersey Shades’.  He enjoyed playing at various gigs including at The Rail and 22 West in Whitehouse Station, NJ. His passion for music mirrored his love for family and friends

Survivors in addition to his loving wife include three children; Dante Faraone III of Vista, CA, Krystal McDade of Alabama and Loni Faraone of Alabama.  Two step children; Stephen Karczewski and his significant other Maddie of Aspen, CO and Jennifer Bruton and her husband William of Califon, NJ.  Three grandchildren; Preston, Jackson, Dani, and Joseph.  Two brothers; Alex Faraone and his wife Nancy of Croton, NJ and Nicholas Faraone and his wife Maryann of Staten Island, NY.  Brothers-in-law; Thomas Petner and his significant other Debra and Chris Petner . Nephew; Christopher Petner and Niece Gina Cordisco.  He is also survived by his best friend of over 45 years; Gregory Brophy and his finance Stacey Gilly of Myrtle Beach, SC. 

Predeceased by his sister-in-law; Susan Ricciardi and husband Rocco Ricciardi.

Calling hours will take place on Monday, February 6, 2023 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.  Funeral Service will be Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 11am.  All at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ.  Interment will be private.
