Delia Reyes, age 82, of Whitehouse Station, NJ passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville, NJ.
She was born on January 14, 1943 in Rincon, Puerto Rico. She lived for many years in Queens, NY before moving to Whitehouse Station, NJ.
Delia was the daughter of the late Esteban and Ramona Munoz Caro.
She spent her career working for NYC Human Resources Administration, as an Executive Secretary/ Administrative Assistant to the Executive Deputy Commissioner.
Delia was very strong and independent. She will always be remembered for having a generous heart, being unconditionally loving and very kind.
She was always willing to sacrifice anything for her family. Delia’s devoted faith in Christ provided direction and guidance throughout her life. She adored her family, her dog, Mia and loved spending time with them. She especially enjoyed making the holidays extra special by decorating, cooking and spending time with family.
Delia was a very talented and creative seamstress, loved sewing and was very classy. She also loved going to the casinos where she enjoyed playing the slot machines.
Survivors include her daughter; Cynthia Reyes and her husband Christopher Stadulis of Clinton Township, NJ and her son; Andre Reyes of Queens, NY. Seven grandchildren; Michael Reyes, Andre Reyes Jr., Joseph Reyes, Samantha Reyes, Alfred Reyes Jr., Justin Tyler Stadulis and Zion Cayden Stadulis. Several great-grandchildren. Three siblings; Aida Sanchez, Brunilda Navarez and Esteban Caro Jr. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her beloved son; Alfred Reyes who passed away in 2012.
She is also predeceased by five siblings; Wilfredo Caro, Anibal Caro, Juan A. Caro, William Caro, and Maribel Caro.
Gathering of friends will take place on Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 11am to 1pm. A celebration of life service where friends and family will be encouraged to share remembrances will take place at 1pm. All at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ. Interment will be private.
Memorials can be made to a charity of one’s choice in loving memory of Delia.
