Donald Eric Christopher

Donald Eric Christopher, age 75, of Bloomsbury, NJ passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024 at home.

He was born on December 7, 1948 in Plainfield, NJ.  He spent his childhood in Westfield, NJ and graduated from Westfield High School.  He lived in Chester, NJ for many years before moving to Ohio where he resided for 23 years.  He has lived in Bloomsbury, NJ since 2017.

He was the son of the late Thomas and Margaret Barker Christopher.

Donald was the husband of Virginia A. Gigl Christopher, celebrating 53 years of marriage.

He was a US Army Veteran, serving from 1967 to 1973.

He graduated from Union College in Cranford, NJ where he was a member of Alpha Phi Omega fraternity.  He went on to attend Seton Hall University as well. 

Donald worked in the lumber business at home centers for many years until his retirement from Home Depot.

He was an avid outdoorsman.  He loved spending time outside and working on the landscaping at his home.  He also enjoyed woodworking and fishing. 

Survivors in addition to his wife include two children; Casey Christopher of Westwood, NJ and Eric Christopher of Palmer Lake, CO.  He is also survived by his grand dog who he adored; Millie. 

Calling hours will take place on Friday, February 23, 2024 from 10am -12pm with Memorial Service at 12pm at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ.  The family invites everyone to join them for a repast luncheon after the service at the Mountain View Chalet, 154 NJ-173, Asbury, NJ.  Interment will be private.
