Donald Charles Lotito

Donald Charles Lotito, of Lebanon, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the age of 67, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Flemington, New Jersey, Donald was the beloved son of Selina Jane Lotito of Lebanon and the late John Joseph Lotito. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy before building a career in the family business as a driver with the Lebanon Cheese Company in Lebanon, NJ. 

Donald shared a loving marriage with his devoted wife, Julieta Alpizar Salas. Together they built a life centered on family and cherished memories. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his sons, Ronald Monge (Mariela), of Washington, New Jersey and Julio Monge, his daughter, Daniela Monge of Lebanon, New Jersey; and his treasured grandchildren, Noah Monge and Samara Monge. He is also survived by his brothers, Chris Lotito, John Lotito (Dee), Michael Lotito (Kelly), Thomas Lotito (Cheryl), David Lotito (Paula), and Joseph Lotito (Ingrid), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

He was predeceased by his father, John Joseph Lotito, and his brother, Robert Lotito.

He enjoyed the simple yet meaningful pleasures of life, such as sharing a good meal, spending time with family, and being surrounded by the people he loved. He was known for his punctuality, his sense of responsibility, and the dedication he put into everything he did.

Donald had a passion for martial arts, earning the rank of black belt and later sharing his knowledge as an instructor at Tiger Schulmann’s in Plainfield, NJ. He also found great joy in fishing, especially trips to Alaska, and loved traveling, with Costa Rica being one of his favorite destinations. An enthusiastic cook, Donald enjoyed preparing meals for family and friends, bringing people together around the table with his generous spirit and warm smile.

Donald was a person with an immensely kind heart, someone who left a special mark on the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a man devoted to his family and friends, always willing to offer his support, his time, and a helping hand whenever someone needed him. He was a strong, persevering, and committed person. Throughout his life, he faced difficult moments with great strength, courage, and determination, always maintaining the essence of a firm and resilient man. Although expressing his feelings was not always easy for him, those who were close to him knew the love and dedication he carried within. He always sought to care for, support, and give the best he could to his family.

Donald will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his adventurous nature, his willingness to teach others, and the kindness he extended to everyone he met. His legacy of strength, dedication, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ. A funeral service will begin at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private.

Today, we hold the memory of a strong man, full of love and with a great capacity for devotion. His absence leaves a deep emptiness, but also a legacy of love and affection that will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
