Dorothy Bauer Obituary

Dorothy Ann Bauer, age 85, of Clinton Twp., NJ passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 of leukemia, at home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on August 2, 1936 in Springfield, NJ.  She spent her childhood in Springfield and resided in Warren, NJ for many years before moving to Mt. Pleasant, SC in 2001.  She lived in Clinton Twp., NJ for the past 6 years.

She was the daughter of the late Theodore and Antionette Lasky Stiles.

She was the wife of Robert M. Bauer, celebrating 65 years of marriage.  The couple were High School sweethearts and married on November 11, 1956 shortly after they graduated from Jonathan Dayton High School in Springfield, NJ.

Dorothy was a realtor for her entire career.  She was also a licensed Real Estate Broker.  She worked for Weichert for many years before opening her own Real Estate Agency, Landmark Real Estate, which she operated with her late son, Kurt Bauer.  She was elated to be in business with her son.  Dorothy also pioneered the development of the Clinton Mill Estates, another accomplishment of which she was extremely proud.  She achieved top honors in Real Estate and was the recipient of numerous Realtor awards.

Dorothy had many passions in life including visiting LBI.  She will always be remembered for saying ‘make memories’ as she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She was loved by so many people who will dearly miss her. She was very social and was always known as the ‘Queen’ of the family.  In addition to loving high tea, Dorothy especially loved Christmas and her Christmas trees.  She was known for keeping the tree up for as long as she could to keep the magic of Christmas alive. One year the tree was up for Easter.
