Douglas J. Tordik

Douglas J. Tordik, age 60, of Bethlehem Twp., NJ passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on September 25, 1963 in Rahway, NJ.  He spent his childhood in Berkeley Heights, NJ and lived in Bethlehem Twp., NJ since 1995.

He was the son of the late Charles J. Tordik and Florence Berkyta Tordik.

He was the loving husband of Susan E. Ennis Tordik, celebrating 27 years of marriage.

Douglas graduated from Governor Livingston High School in Berkeley Heights, NJ.

He spent his career as an electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 102 in Parsippany, NJ. 

Douglas was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Hampton, NJ where he celebrated matrimony and his three sons’ baptisms.

Douglas loved deeply and completely. His love for his family knew no bounds, and there was nothing he wouldn’t do for them. Douglas was a mentor to so many people.  He was known as a second father to so many and always extended his home to friends and family in need.  Douglas was so wise, always lending advice when it was most needed. More than anything in his life, he loved spending time with his wife and three children.

Douglas loved fishing and boating with his sons.  He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, gardening and working on cars.  He had a brilliant mind and there was nothing he couldn’t fix.  He also loved watching his boys play sports, especially through their high school and college careers.

Survivors in addition to his loving wife include his three sons; Charles Tordik, James Tordik, and John Tordik. Two siblings; Kathleen Tordik and David Tordik and his wife Donna. Nieces and nephews; Elise Tordik, Ross Tordik, Lauren Tordik and Christopher Federico. 

Calling hours will take place on Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 4-8pm at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ.  Funeral Mass will be Friday, September 27, 2024 at 11am At St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 32 Main Street, Hampton, NJ.  Interment will be private.
