Dr. Richard L. Gennaro, Jr.

Dr. Richard L. Gennaro, Jr., age 66, of Point Pleasant Beach, NJ passed away peacefully on November 9, 2021 in West Palm Beach, FL.

Known by his family and friends as “Ricky,” he was born on June 28, 1955 in Newark, NJ.  He was the son of Richard L. Gennaro, Sr. and Carol M. Gennaro (nee Strand) of Point Pleasant Beach, NJ.

Ricky was a dentist who practiced general and restorative dentistry and was licensed to practice in New Jersey, New York and Florida. In more recent years, he authored several articles on dentistry topics that were published.

Ricky had many passions in life including boxing, music, theater, acting and cooking. He loved engaging in conversations with people he knew and people he met. Ricky also enjoyed learning languages and was fluent in several languages. He spent a great deal of time in Florida with his girlfriend, Graca, his lifelong partner of more than 40 years, and loved traveling to Brazil with her. Ricky and Graca visited an orphanage in Brazil numerous times to donate clothing and other items and spend time with the children.

Survivors in addition to his loving parents include his girlfriend Graca, his sister Carol Ann DeGeorge and her husband Joseph, his brother Gregory Gennaro and his wife Garland Herron, a nephew, Daniel DeGeorge, and two nieces, Alexandra DeGeorge and Gia Gennaro.

A private graveside service will take place on Friday, November 19, 2021 at 11am at Union Cemetery in Lebanon, NJ.
