Edward James Bizub Sr., age 79, of Clark, NJ passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at University Hospital in Newark, NJ.
He was born on May 9, 1943 at home in Newark, NJ. He spent his childhood in Newark and has resided in Clark, NJ since 1967 with his wife.
He was the son of the late John and Margaret Bizub(Ruzbasan) who owned Johnny’s Tavern on Fairview Ave. in Newark during the 1960’s.
He was the husband of Gloria White Bizub. Together they shared 59 years of marriage.
Edward was an Electrical Engineer and worked for various companies including Bendix, ITT and Comsat. In the 1990’s he started his own business, Bizub Communications Inc., which he owned and operated until his retirement.
Edward was a parishioner at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church in Clark, NJ and served as a Eucharistic minister. He was also a member of the North Jersey DX Association (NJDXA).
Edward was an avid philatelist and space cover collector. He also enjoyed building and operating amateur (ham) radios. He managed his sons’ Little League teams and was a loyal NJ Devils fan.
Most of all, Edward was an extremely loving grandpa. His grandchildren were his world and he was always at his grandsons’ hockey games and spoiling his only granddaughter.
Survivors in addition to his loving wife include two children; Edward James Bizub Jr. and his wife Robin of Kissimmee, FL and Michael John Bizub and his wife Donna of Colonia, NJ. Three grandchildren; Timothy Bizub, Luke Bizub and Hope Bizub. He is also survived by one sister; Margaret Ricigliano of Whitehouse Station, NJ.
Predeceased by two siblings; Ann Bizub, John Paul Bizub.
