Eileen Oakes Todd, age 75, of Lebanon, NJ, peacefully passed away with her loving husband by her side on Monday, March 30, 2026, at Hunterdon Care Center in Raritan Twp., NJ.
Eileen was born on August 27, 1950, in Whitehouse Station, NJ, to the late Harry and Catherine (Vladich) Oakes. Eileen was raised by her late aunt, Matilda Vladich, after her parents passed away while Eileen was young. She grew up in Bradley Gardens, NJ, and has resided in Lebanon, NJ for the past 53 years.
Eileen was the beloved wife of Robert J. Todd. Married in 1972, the couple celebrated 53 years of marriage.
Eileen worked as an administrative assistant for Readington Township School District until her retirement in 2012.
Eileen was a long-time member of the 4th of July Parade Committee in Lebanon, NJ.
Eileen loved spending time at the beach and vacationing with family. She loved riding around in her corvette alongside her husband. She was an avid gardener and excellent cook. She enjoyed playing games and having game nights, and she loved listening to music, especially The Beatles and Elvis Presley.
In addition to her beloved husband, Eileen is survived by her loving children: Cheryl Plager and her husband, Michael, of Warren, NJ, and Craig Robert Todd and his wife, Katherine, of Surry, VA. Her four beloved grandchildren: Jackson Plager, Trey Plager, Amanda Todd, and Lillian Todd. Her siblings: Harry Oakes II and his wife, Gloria, of Columbia, SC and Susann Claffey of Ireland. Her sister-in-law, Pat Benthin and her significant other, Jim McDonough. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place on Friday, April 3, 2026, from 6-8pm, at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 10am, at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cokesbury Cemetery in Cokesbury, NJ.
