Francis ‘Frank’ John Bastone, age 93, of Tewksbury Twp., NJ, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025, at home, surrounded by his loving family.
Frank was born on July 15, 1932, in the Bronx, NY, to the late Francis and Josephine (Baxter) Bastone. He grew up and lived in the Bronx before he was drafted into the military. He has resided in Tewksbury Twp., NJ, for the past 37 years.
Frank was the beloved husband of Harriet Ruth (Roemer) Bastone. Married in 1985, they celebrated 40 years of marriage together.
Frank served in the Air Force during the Korean War. After his service, he worked as a mechanical engineer for Bell Labs for 42 years. After his retirement, Frank helped form a start-up company, Celiant (2001), which was acquired by Andrew Corporation the following year (2002).
Frank took great pride in his home, which he built over the course of three years. He enjoyed antiquing, cooking, and listening to jazz music. Frank was very active and loved traveling, especially to Europe, Australia, and China.
In addition to his loving wife, Frank is survived by his three loving sons: Francis John Bastone of Bernardsville, NJ; Paul Michael Bastone of ElmwoodPark, NJ; Jeffrey Todd Bastone of Crandon Lakes, NJ. His sister, Josephine DeStefano of Florida. His two nieces and several great-nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his two beloved dogs, Bruno and Fritz.
