Francis ‘Frank’ V. Klemm Sr., age 94 of High Bridge, NJ passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023 at Country Arch Care Center in Pittstown, NJ.
He was born on January 26, 1929 in Newark, NJ. He spent his childhood in Irvington, NJ and resided in High Bridge for the past 46 years.
He was the son of the late William and Emma Klemm.
Frank was the husband of Ethel ‘Jane’ Klemm, celebrating 46 years of marriage.
He was a World War II Veteran, serving with the US Navy.
Frank worked as an Iron Worker for Local #11 in Newark, NJ until his retirement.
Frank was very involved in his community. A long-time member of High Bridge Methodist Church, he was also a member of the Masonic Lodge #11 in Livingston and Tall Cedars of Lebanon. He was Past Grand Tall Cedar and Past Worthy Patron for the Order of the Eastern Star Stewart Chapter in High Bridge. He was also a past member of the Clinton Elks and a member of the American Legion for over 25 years. Frank also volunteered at the Hunterdon Medical Center with his wife for 23 years.
Survivors in addition to his loving wife include one son; Francis ‘Frank’ Klemm Jr. and his wife Ann of Newton, NJ. Three grandsons; Erik Klemm and his wife Akiko, Justin Klemm and his wife Rowhen and Paul Klemm and his fiancé Elena. Three great-grandchildren; Nori, Saya and Kai. Three Step-children; Chester Brannon of High Bridge, NJ, Linda Fisher and her husband Dr. John Bradford of La Habra, CA and Joseph Brannon and his wife Sondra of Wildomar, CA. Step-grandchildren; Holley, Erica, Jamie and Christopher. He is also survived by one brother; Frederick Klemm of Manchester, NJ.
