Gail D. Saltvedt

Gail D. Saltvedt, age 86, of Clinton, NJ passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024 at home.

She was born on December 15, 1938 in Lawrenceville, NJ.   She spent many years in Lawrenceville, Princeton, and Griggstown, NJ before moving to Clinton, NJ in 1973.

She was the daughter of the late Harold and Sarah Crossan.

Her beloved husband, Alf H. Saltvedt, passed away in 1997 after 36 years of marriage. 

Gail worked in administration for Ethicon, Ortho and Johnson & Johnson before her retirement.  In her younger years she worked as a Soda jerk in Princeton where she served Albert Einstein on many occasions.

Memberships include Clinton Presbyterian Church in Clinton, NJ and the Hunterdon Women’s Club.

Gail was known for her sparkling light, smiles, hugs, generosity, and love to everyone that surrounded her or crossed her path.  Much like her, she loved the beauty and grace in butterflies which will continue to be a gentle reminder of her presence.

Survivors include the family that treasured her.  One son; David Saltvedt and his wife Debbie of Lebanon, NJ.  One daughter; Janice Dowd and her husband Kenneth of Bloomsbury, NJ.  Her granddaughter; Taylor Dowd of Holland Township, NJ. She is also survived by one sister; Sallyann Dunham and her husband Larry of North Carolina.  Nephew; Jamie and nieces; Rhiannon, Rose and Lily

Predeceased in addition to her loving husband and parents by her step-father; Peter Fiumenero. 

All services will be private.
