George H. Armstrong

George H. Armstrong, age 75, of Tewksbury Twp., NJ passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at home.

He was born on February 20, 1947 in Jersey City, NJ. He was a lifelong resident of Califon, NJ. 

He was the son of the late George and Dorothy (Knable) Armstrong. 

His wife, Joanne Burd Armstrong, passed away in 2013 after 40 years of marriage.

George was a US Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam war.

Upon his discharge from the military, George began working as a custodian at Tewksbury Twp. Elementary School, a job that he would remain at for 56 years until the day he retired. 

George was an avid outdoorsman.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and sitting by the river. 

Survivors include one son; George E. Armstrong and his wife Samantha of Tewksbury Twp., NJ.  Two grandchildren; Anakin Kieran and Ronnie Kieran.  He is also survived by his mother-in-law; Lillian Burd of FL.

Predeceased in addition to his wife by one sister; Nancy Armstrong. 

All services will be private.
