George H. Sierp, age 76, of Lebanon Borough, NJ passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on December 15, 1944 in Somerville, NJ. He spent his childhood in Three Bridges and resided in Lebanon Borough for the past 44 years.
He was the son of the late Joseph Sierp and Katherine Higgins Sours.
George was the husband of Kathryn A. Jones Sierp, celebrating 41 years of marriage.
George was a graduate of Hunterdon Central High School, class of 1963. After graduation he enlisted in the National Guard and also started his lifelong career as a Truck Driver. His career spanned over 55 years driving truck most recently driving for Dameo Trucking in Bridgewater, NJ up until 3 years ago.
While George could be described as a simple man, he had many passions in life including being an avid NASCAR fan, camping and gardening. He also enjoyed going to his second home in Daytona Beach frequently and going to Wind Creek with his wife, Kathy. Most of all, George loved his children and grandchildren. They were his whole world.
Survivors in addition to his loving wife include 4 children; Deborah, Robert (Jamie), Becky (Sarah) and Nicole (Scott). Three grandchildren; Kayla, Katie and Schuyler. Three siblings; Linda Powell, Terry Miller (Bill) and Gene Sierp. Sister-in-law; Carole Kolakowski and niece Laura Reper.
Predeceased by one daughter; Brandy Sierp who passed away in 1981. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his step-mother; Joyce Sierp and step-father; Skip Sours.
Calling hours will take place on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 from 2pm – 5pm at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ. Graveside service will be on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 11am at Mountain View Cemetery in Cokesbury.
