Gertraud “Trudy” W. Hartsell

Gertraud ‘Trudy’ W. Hartsell, age 93, longtime resident of Readington Twp., NJ, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ.  

She was born on April 27, 1931 in Munich, Germany.  She spent her youth in Germany, emigrating to the United States in 1952.  She resided for many years in Readington Twp., NJ, and most recently lived with her daughter in Denville, NJ.

She was the daughter of the late Karl and Walburga Kupplmayr Fensterl. Her beloved husband, Earl P. Hartsell, passed away in 2005 after 53 years of marriage.

Trudy was a Manager at Flemington Fur in Flemington, NJ, until her retirement.

Survivors include a son in California, a daughter in New Jersey, five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.  

Trudy adored her family and truly loved spending time with her grandchildren.  Her family cherished her giving and caring nature.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.  

Visitation will take place on Friday, May 3, 2024, from 10-11 AM with a Funeral Service at 11 AM at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ.  Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Clinton, NJ.
