Glenn Alfred Robinson, age 85, lifelong resident of High Bridge, NJ passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Twp., NJ.
He was born on May 17, 1937 in High Bridge, NJ. He resided in High Bridge for his entire life.
He was the son of the late Alfred and Ruth Bittenbender Robinson.
Glenn was a High Bridge High School graduate, class of 1955.
He was a US Army Veteran. He was stationed in Germany.
His beloved wife, Carolla Robinson, passed away in 2006 after 40 years of marriage.
Glenn was the Owner/Operator of East Side Services Garage in High Bridge, NJ until his retirement. In his younger years, he worked at Taylor Wharton and High Bridge Water Company.
Glenn can be described as a good natured, generous, sweet man who was full of jokes. He loved being a mechanic and loved cars. He was a hard worker and was always ready to help anyone. He also loved traveling, especially to Myrtle Beach, although his heart was always in High Bridge. He also enjoyed going to casinos. He loved animals, especially his three cats. He was blessed with a wonderful life and will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his significant other of twelve years; Pamela Engle. He is also survived by three sisters; Florence Petruchik of CT, Joan Walters of Hackettstown, NJ and Mary Becker of CT. Nieces and nephews; Glenn Walters, Graig Walters, Geoff Walters, Stasia Walters, Cindi Keenan and her husband Vince, Dwight Petruchik and his wife Laura, Kim Cavanagh and her husband Steve, Robin Whittemore and her husband Doug, Peter Petruchik and his significant other Pam Park, Beth Zimmerman and her husband Kurt, Elizabeth, Jennifer, Patricia, David and Thomas.
Predeceased in addition to his wife by one sister; Betty Diernbach and one nephew; Richard.
Calling hour will take place on Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 1pm to 3pm with funeral service at 3pm at Naughright-Scarponi Funeral Home, 66 Main Street, High Bridge, NJ. Interment will take place in the Spring of 2023.
