Grace E. Kozal, age 88, of Alexandria Twp., NJ passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ with her family by her side.
She was born on February 14, 1934 in Fords, NJ. She resided in Alexandria Twp. since 1995, moving from Edison, NJ.
She was the daughter of the late Alexander and Grace Deak Kudron.
Her beloved husband, Stanley Thomas Kozal passed away in January of 2022 after 68 years of marriage.
She was a graduate of Metuchen High School.
While she spent many years raising her family, once her children were in college, she worked as an Executive Secretary for Merck in Whitehouse Station, NJ.
Memberships include St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Pittstown, NJ and the Women’s Auxiliary at JFK Medical Center in Edison, NJ where she was also past president. She was also on the board of the New Jersey Hospital Association. While raising her children, she taught CCD at the Cathedral of St. Francis of Assisi in Metuchen, NJ.
Grace enjoyed antiquing, traveling, especially cruises, and going to Vermont every year to see the fall foliage. She loved cooking and baking and was known for her delicious pies, especially her pumpkin chiffon. Decorating for the holidays was something she also loved.
Survivors include four children; Stanley Kozal and his wife Lisa of Washington, NJ, Karen Kozal and her partner Dale Dalrymple of Stockton, NJ, Janice Mauro and her husband Salvatore of Frenchtown, NJ and Jennifer Pasculli and her husband Anthony of Pittstown, NJ. Five grandsons; Stephen Kozal, Thomas Kozal, Salvatore Mauro, Nicholas Mauro and Anthony Pasculli. One brother; Alex Kudron and his wife Laura of Hernando, FL.
Predeceased in addition to her husband by one sister; Carol Gilligan.
Calling hours will take place on Sunday, October 16, 2022 from 3-7pm at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ. Funeral Mass will be Monday, October 17, 2022 at 11am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 2 White Bridge Road, Pittstown, NJ. Interment will immediately follow at Locust Grove Cemetery in Quakertown, NJ.
