Howard R. Sodano Sr.

Howard R. Sodano Sr., age 65, of Clinton Twp., NJ passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at home.

He was born on June 29, 1955 in Madison, NJ.  He was a resident of Hunterdon County for over 40 years.

He was the son of the late Viviano Sodano and Wanda Korniuk Sodano.

Howard was the husband of Wendy A. Godfrey Sodano.  The couple were High School sweethearts and were married for 40 years.

Howard was a successful business owner.  He owned and operated H.R.S. Transport Inc. for the past 37 years.

Howard was a friend to everyone and always made sure everyone was taken care of.  He consistently put everyone above himself.  He always had a hand to lend and a lesson to teach.  He was known for being very old school in his ways and also for being “Mr. Fix it”.  Howard had very strong values and always put his family first.  He loved his children and grandchildren dearly, as they were the light of his life.

Survivors in addition to his loving wife include three children; Traci Shultz and her husband Brad, Howard Sodano Jr. and his wife Danielle and Kristen Gonzales and her husband Bob.  Seven grandchildren; Caiden Shultz, Grant Shultz, Nolan Shultz, Ava Sodano, Audrey Sodano, Howard Sodano III and Olivia Gonzales.  Five siblings and their spouses; Vivian D’Agostino, Marie Esposito, Joseph Sodano, William Sodano and Mark Sodano.  He is also survived by his step-mother; Rosemarie Sodano, many nieces, nephews and many beloved friends.

Calling hours will take place on Friday, January 1, 2021 from 6pm-9pm and also on Saturday, January 2021 from 8:30am -9:30am at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ.  Funeral Mass will be Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 10am at Immaculate Conception Church, 316 Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ.  Entombment at Immaculate Conception Mausoleum.  The Funeral Mass will be live-streamed.  Please click the link below.
