Ida Mae Schmidt, of Pottersville, NJ, passed away on March 23, 2023, at age 92.
She was born to William and Bertha (Rowe) McCrea, on March 5, 1931, in Pottersville. Ida Mae resided on High Street in Pottersville for her entire life.
She was married to Edward A. Schmidt from 1957 until his passing in 1997. She worked briefly at Diehl Manufacturing in Finderne NJ, where she met her
husband. She later worked in the cafeteria of the Tewksbury Township Elementary School for 25 years, from 1968 until her retirement in 1993. She was
a lifetime member of the Pottersville Reformed Church. She volunteered at the Pottersville Volunteer Fire Department’s annual Antique Show and Sale,
peeling peaches at the refreshment tent with her friends for many years. She was given the “It’s a Wonderful Life” award in 2017 for her service to the community.
Ida Mae loved her family, friends, children, animals and her hometown of Pottersville.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband Edward A. Schmidt, her sister Eleanor M. Clawson, niece Susan L. Sutton and dear friends. She is survived by
her son, Edward W. Schmidt of Pottersville, Marilyn B. Sutton of Lebanon NJ, nieces, nephews, dear friends and by her companion, the family cat, Miss Pumpkin.

your choice.
A viewing will be held at the Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ, on Wednesday, March 29, from 11:00 – 12:00, followed by funeral service at 12:00pm. Burial will follow at the Pottersville Reformed Church cemetery.
