Inez Claire Bastedo

Inez Claire Bastedo, age 92, of Raritan Twp., NJ, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at home. 

Inez was born on March 7, 1933, in Somerville, NJ, to the late Raymond and Laura (Rodgers) Bastedo. She resided in Pittstown, NJ, and Beaufort, SC, with her daughters for most of her life. She has lived in Raritan Twp., NJ, for the past three years. 

Inez graduated from Clinton High School in Clinton, NJ, and worked as an artist for most of her life. 

Inez loved being an artist. She enjoyed painting, using acrylic, oils and watercolors and sold at art shows. Her artwork earned her quite the following and she won many awards over the years. She also loved animalsand was an avid horseman. Inez also loved to read.   

Inez is survived by her two loving daughters: Lisa Ellis Manning and her husband, Robert, of Easton, PA, and Sharon Perry of Chapin, SC. Her grandchildren: Matthew Ellis; Marc Maher, and his husband, Fox; Carley Brandau, and her husband, Zachary; Russel Perry; and Hannah Perry. Her brother, Robert Bastedoresides in Alabama. Inez is predeceased by two siblings, Raymond Bastedo Jr. and Donna Motto.
