Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Jacquline M. Kary, aged 80, of Hampton, NJ, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville, NJ.
Jacquline was married to John W. Kary for nearly 60 years.
Jacquline’s kindness, generosity and cheerful manner were reflected in everything she did. She always had a smile and kind word for everyone she met and went out of her way to help others. She provided unwavering help in innumerable ways to her late mother Margaret. She adored her family and loved going to all her sons’ and grandchildren’s sporting events and supported them in all their endeavors.
She was born on June 11, 1943 in Lebanon, NJ. She was a life-long resident of Hunterdon County. She lived in Lebanon for many years before moving to Bethlehem Township nearly 50 years ago.
Jacquline loved traveling and traveled to all 50 states and as far afield as New Zealand. She enjoyed history and nature, which she explored on her many travels with her family to national parks and historic sites, antiques, gardening and taking every chance she could to look after her family and friends.
In addition to her loving husband, survivors include three sons, Justin W. Kary and his wife Anna of Auckland, New Zealand, Jason R. Kary and his wife Connie Suneborn of New York, NY and Jared F. Kary and his wife Erin of Rosemount, MN; three grandchildren, Isabella Kary, Abigail Kary and Rowan Kary; one sister Gail Sutton and her husband Rodney of Coeur d’Alene, ID; brother-in-law, Victor Daku of Walnutport, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the daughter of the late Harry and Margaret Eick (later Margaret Perry, having married Russell Perry).
She was predeceased by brother, Royden Eick and sister-in-law, Beverly Eick, and sister, Donna Daku.
She was a graduate of North Hunterdon Regional High School in Annandale, NJ, class of 1961.
The family would like to pay special thanks to Ellie and Keith Novak for all their support over the years.
Calling hours will take place on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 1-4pm with Funeral Service at 4pm at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ. Interment will be private.
