James 'Jim' B. Kemper

James ‘Jim’ B. Kemper, age 78, of Union Twp., NJ passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at home.

He was born on February 28, 1944 in Plainfield, NJ.  He resided in Union Twp., NJ for the past 25 years, moving from Readington Twp., NJ.

He was the son of the late Bernard Kemper and Genevieve Toohey Kemper.

Jim was the husband to Suzanne E. LaCorte Kemper, celebrating 31 years of marriage.

Jim was a graduate of St. Peter’s High School in Middlesex, NJ. 

He was a business owner and entrepreneur for his entire career.  He owned and operated several businesses including Whipp ‘d’ doo Beverage Company and also Passport Inc. Publishing Company.  In the 1960’s he was in the music business. 

Jim enjoyed trading stocks as a hobby.

Survivors in addition to his loving wife include one son; Christopher Kemper and his wife Molly of SC.  Two granddaughters; Ellis and Madeline.  Five siblings; John Kemper, Greg Kemper and his wife Diana, Mary Troyer, Tom Kemper and Paul Kemper and his wife Linda.  Several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 10:30am – 11am with funeral mass following at 11am.  All at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 2 White Bridge Road, Pittstown, NJ. Interment will be private.

Arrangements are under the direction of Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home in Lebanon, NJ.
