James 'Jim' Edward Querry

James ‘Jim’ Edward Querry, age 79, of Clinton, NJ passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 surrounded by his loving family at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Twp., NJ.

He was born on June 4, 1945 in Phillipsburg, NJ.  He spent his childhood in High Bridge, NJ and resided in Clinton since 1968.

He was the son of the late Norman and Irene Johnson Querry. 

Jim was the husband of Patricia Ann Wagner Querry, celebrating 57 years of marriage.

Jim was a graduate of High Bridge High School and he attended Churchman’s Business School. 

He was a US Navy Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. 

Jim spent his career as a Salesman, first he worked for Custom Alloy in Califon. He was the East Coast Salesman for Dynamic Products Inc in Houston, TX. He also owned and operated his own business, Hunterdon Piping Components until his retirement.

Memberships include Clinton Presbyterian Church in Clinton, NJ.  He was also a past member of Harkers Hollow Golf Club in Phillipsburg, NJ as he was an avid golfer. 

In addition to golf, Jim loved going out to eat with friends, especially frequenting The Mountain View Chalet and Clinton House.  He especially loved spending time with his family that he adored.

Survivors in addition to his loving wife include one son; James N. Querry and his wife Wendy of Clinton, NJ. Six grandchildren; Aiden Keller and his husband Seth of Easton, PA, Patrick Querry and his wife Kayla of Blandon, PA, Katie Altemose and her husband Reed of Clinton, NJ, Christopher Querry and his girlfriend Abby Terese of Clinton, NJ, Shayla Hockin and her boyfriend Adam Hett of Clinton, NJ and Wesley Hockin and his fiancé Margaret ‘Mimi’ Powers of Glen Gardner, NJ.  Three great-grandchildren; Liam Querry, Jaxson Querry and Ella Querry. He is also survived by one niece; Karen Herron. 

Predeceased by one sister; Patricia Hall who passed away in 2022 and one niece; Kathy Hendricks. 

Calling hours will take place on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 from 1-3pm and 5-7pm.  Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at 11am.  All at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Clinton, NJ.
