Jane W. Heater

Jane W. Heater, age 88, of Center Valley, PA passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at home.  She was born on May 9, 1935 in New York, NY.  She was the daughter of the late Michael and Vera Januschko Welenteychik. 

At the age of 17, Jane and her family moved to High Bridge, New Jersey, where she met her beloved husband, David S. Heater.  They were married in 1954 at the High Bridge Reformed Church, where they were members, and spent many happy years together.  They had two children, Sharyn and Douglas and many four-legged "children".  David passed away in 2013 at the age of 81. 

Early in their marriage Jane and David went to baseball games, stock car races, and spent time with family and friends.  Later she enjoyed camping at Lake George, shopping with daughter Sharyn, extensive travel with David, family, and friends, and spending time with son Douglas and her grandchildren.  She loved antiques, plants and flowers, and filled her home with them. 

Jane was the Tax Collector for many years in Bethlehem Township and Bloomsbury, New Jersey until her retirement in 2010.  There she made many friends, with whom she and daughter Sharyn spent many happy hours seeing musicals in New York City, having dinner, and just enjoying each others' company.

Survivors include brother Steven Welenteychik, brother Michael Welenteychik and wife, Sandy, daughter, Sharyn E. Young and husband Jeff, son Douglas S. Heater and wife Angela, grandson Shane S. Heater, granddaughter Ava T. Heater, step-granddaughter Gabriella Kozic, and step-grandsons Tyler Kozic and Cooper Young.  Jane is predeceased by sisters Nina Cavlier and Olga Trimmer, sister-in-law Marianne Welenteychik, and brothers-in-law Richard Heater and John Trimmer.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at High Bridge Reformed Church, 23 Church Street, High Bridge, NJ.  A luncheon will take place after the service at the church.
