Jeannette Margaret Hup

Jeannette Margaret Hup, age 86, of Lebanon Township, NJ passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at home surrounded by her loving family.  

Jeannette was born on January 4, 1940, in Teaneck, NJ to the late John and Margaret (Greenip) Pay. She spent her childhood in Westwood, NJ before moving to Lebanon Township, NJ, where she has resided for the past 53 years. 

Jeannette was the beloved wife of the late Martin Hup Jr. Married in September 1958, the two celebrated 66 years of marriage before Martin’s passing in 2025. 

Jeannette worked alongside her husband for their excavating and paving company, Hup and Sons. 

Jeannette was a long time attendee of South Ridge Community Church in Clinton, NJ. 

Jeannette loved taking care of her grandchildren. She also loved spending time at her home in Florida and collecting shells on Sanibel Island. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and baking pies. 

Survivors include four children; Cindy English and her husband Dave of Lebanon Township, NJ, Bonnie Benner and her husband Scott of Flemington, NJ, Michael Hup and his wife Vandana of Swedesboro, NJ and Craig Hup and his wife Jill of Tewksbury Twp., NJ.  Fifteen grandchildren; Hunter, Martin IV, Sheila, Christian V, Duncan, Brielle, Jessica, David, Nicholas, Lucy, Charlotte, Eve, Kash, Erin, and Joe.  Six great-grandchildren.  

Predeceased in addition to her loving husband by her beloved son; Martin Hup III who passed away in December of 2024.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 11am-2pm with a funeral service at 2pm, at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ. Interment is private.
