Jeffrey Allen Bridge, age 57, formerly of High Bridge, NJ passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at The Samaritan Center at Voorhees in Voorhees Twp., NJ after a long illness.
He was born on July 15, 1962 in Somerville, NJ and resided for most of his life in Hunterdon County, NJ; though often venturing off for extended stays in CA, FL, WV or wherever a whim would carry him.
He was the son of Alfred S. Bridge of Belvidere, NJ and the late Doris Ann (Dietrick) Bridge.
Jeff was a 1980 graduate of Voorhees High School.
Most known for his time as bartender at Miller’s Tavern in Annandale, NJ, Jeff would surprise vacationing patrons of the Brass Monkey in Marathon, FL where he spent several years. He most recently worked for Union County Plate Glass Company in Elizabeth, NJ.
Jeff was a free spirit who enjoyed life to the fullest and quickly made lifelong friends wherever we went. He was a collector of comics and science fiction and loved a good prank.
Surviving, in addition to his father are brother Brian Bridge and his wife Sue of Asbury, NJ; sister Deb DiMattia and nieces Devony and Alie, of Branchville, NJ; and beloved relatives,including Richard ‘Dick’ Bridge of Great Cacapon, WV, with whom he most recently lived.
In addition to his mother, Jeff was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Al DiMattia, and cousins Charles and Gene Bridge.
Due to the current Coronavirus health restrictions and at the request of the deceased, a “big party” in lieu of formal services will be announced at a later date.
