John Joseph Sisti, age 70, of Glen Gardner, NJ, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at University Hospital in Newark, NJ.
He was born on January 20, 1951 in Brooklyn, NY. He spent his childhood in Brooklyn, Massapequa Park and Rockland County, NY. He resided in Glen Gardner for the past 20 years.
He was the son of the late Joseph and Lucielle Martini Sisti.
His longtime companion, Patricia Pulomeno, passed away in 2011 after being together for 30 years.
He was a US Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1971.
After his military service, he earned an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts from Rockland Community College. He worked as a Warehouse Manager for many years until his retirement.
John was an extreme avid reader. He loved watching old movies and was a history buff. He also loved animals. He enjoyed playing pool and spending time with his family.
Survivors include five siblings; Patricia Tully of Flemington, NJ, Noella Sisti-Cicalese and her husband Peter Cicalese of Glen Gardner, NJ, Joanne Johnson and her husband Lawrence of VA, Carol Sisti of VA and Joseph Sisti of VA. Six nieces and nephews; Edward Tully, Peter John Cicalese, Chad Vincent Cicalese, Dean Michael Cicalese, Heather Johnson and Trinity Sisti. Twp great nephews; Anthony and Vincent.
Predeceased by one brother; Anthony Sisti.
Calling hours will take place on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 3-5pm with Funeral Service at 5pm at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ. Interment will be Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 9am at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, PA.
