Joshua Ryan Dixon, age 37, of Summerville, SC passed away on Friday, July 9, 2021 at home.
He was born on April 2, 1984 in Raritan Twp., NJ. He lived in Hunterdon County for most of his life before moving to South Carolina four years ago.
He was the son of Mark Dixon of Langston, SC and Jeannette Evans Dixon of Summerville, SC.
Joshua was a 2002 graduate of Voorhees High School in Glen Gardner, NJ.
Currently, he was employed as a Food Service Supervisor at Charleston Airport in Charleston, SC.
When Joshua was living in NJ, he was a member of the High Bridge, Quakertown and Pattenburg Rescue Squads.
Joshua was passionate about cooking. He also enjoyed sky diving, riding jet skis, going to the beach and boating with friends. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
He was a beloved son, caring brother and cherished uncle.
Survivors in addition to his loving parents include one sister; Kelly Jean Meyer of High Bridge, NJ. Half-brother; Mark Dixon of Cleveland, NY. Half-sister; Jessica Winthrop of Phoenix, NY. He is also survived by ten nieces and nephews; Sebastian, Brookelynn, Delaney, Thomas, Aurora, Landen, Alexis, JJ, Adam and Joseph. He is also survived by his cat; Mei Mei and his lifelong best friend; Michael Wolfsen.
Predeceased by his brother-in-law; Brian J. Meyer who passed away in November of 2020.
Calling hours will take place on Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 1-5pm with Memorial Service at 5pm at Naughright-Scarponi Funeral Home, 66 Main Street, High Bridge, NJ. Interment will be private.
