Judith Loper Bogan

Judith Loper Bogan, age 84, of Tewksbury Twp., NJ passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at home.

She was born on May 23, 1939 in Conshohocken, PA and spent her childhood in the Philadelphia area.  She later moved to Basking Ridge, NJ and lived in Tewksbury Twp., NJ since 1999.

She was the daughter of the late Charles Loper, Jr. and Alma Althouse Loper.  She is survived by her sister Charlotte Blair and predeceased by her brother Charles Loper III.

Her beloved husband, James Daniel Bogan, passed away in 2021 after 60 years of marriage. She is survived by four children: Cindy Rupprecht and her husband Andrew of Califon, NJ, Jim Bogan and his wife Rebecca of Westlake Village, CA, Barbara Conner and her husband Gary of Readington, NJ and Erin Brogan and her husband Michael of Califon, NJ.  Her six grandchildren are Katherine Rupprecht, Shane and Heather Bogan, Haley Conner, Kaylie and Colin Brogan.  

Judy was a graduate of Norristown High School and went on to earn her Nursing Degree from Norristown Hospital.  She worked various jobs as a Registered Nurse for 36 years before retiring from Lyons VA Hospital in Bernards Twp, NJ.

She was a proud member of The National Society of Colonial Dames, following in her mother’s footsteps. 

Judy was an avid quilter, and she would join friends at the Budding Star Quilt Shop taking classes and working on projects.  She also loved traveling with her husband.  In addition to annual family trips to Hilton Head Island, they enjoyed vacations in Ireland, New Zealand, Costa Rica, and especially Chile. Most of all, Judy loved her children and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
