June Dawn Dalecki, age 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Heath Village Retirement Community in Hackettstown, NJ.
June was born on June 29, 1939 and resided in Neptune, NJ for most of her life.
She is predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Richard Dalecki, her mother, Hilda ‘Helen’ Pace Kaiser, and sister Joan Kaiser Campbell.
June worked as a bookkeeper for Sears and later at Fort Monmouth. She also held the position of church secretary at Hamilton United Methodist Church in Neptune, NJ until her retirement.
She spent many dedicated hours at the food pantry in Neptune where she served her community with grace and courtesy, always looking for coupons to add to the shelves. June was also a member of the Hope Circle at Hamilton United Methodist Church where she valued the connections she made with other parishioners.
June was an avid reader, antiquer and enjoyed crocheting. Together with her best friend, Patricia (Burns), she loved to crochet crosses and baby hats for local hospitals. June had a curated collection of button hooks that she proudly displayed. She loved all animals and they were drawn to her as well. Her little granddog, Cashel, brought her much joy. June’s favorite meal was spaghetti and meatballs and there wasn't a dessert she didn’t love.
June is lovingly remembered by her two daughters: Lori Hannon (Edmund) of Glen Gardner, NJ and Susan Kretz (Jeffrey) of Sandy Hook, CT; three grandchildren: Megan Hannon, Edmund Richard Hannon (Bryn), and Matthew Kretz; one great-grandson: Ollie Jay Hannon; brother-in-law William Campbell of Reston, VA; and brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Alice Dalecki of Colesville, MD. She leaves many nieces and nephews as well.
Calling hours will take place on Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 2-4pm with a Funeral Service at 4pm at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ.
